Brock Played Good Enough to Win
Brock Purdy's performance in the Super Bowl wasn't just about the final score; it was about the grit, determination, and skill he displayed on the field.
In a game where every throw, decision, and play mattered, Purdy stepped up to the challenge and proved that he's more than just a game manager—he's a quarterback capable of leading his team to victory.
Not Just A Game Manager
Throughout the season, Purdy faced his fair share of criticism and skepticism. Some labeled him as nothing more than a game manager, while others doubted his ability to perform under pressure. But on Super Bowl Sunday, Purdy silenced his critics and showed the world what he's truly made of.
From the opening drive to the final whistle, Purdy played with poise and confidence, making key throws and smart decisions that kept the 49ers in the game.
He showed great awareness in the pocket, maneuvering past defenders and extending plays when needed. And when the pressure was on, Purdy delivered, putting his team in a position to win.
Resilient Under Pressure
But perhaps the most impressive aspect of Purdy's performance was his resilience in the face of adversity. Despite facing a relentless Chiefs defense and battling through miscommunications with his offensive line, Purdy never wavered.
He remained focused and composed, leading his team with determination and resolve.
Even in the game's crucial moments, Purdy showed his ability to rise to the occasion. On third down in overtime, with the game on the line, Purdy made the right decision to throw the ball away when pressure came from the defensive line.
It wasn't the outcome he hoped for, but it was a testament to his football IQ and situational awareness
Nothing Short Of Impressive
In the end, the scoreboard may not have reflected the outcome Purdy and the 49ers had hoped for. But make no mistake—Purdy's performance was nothing short of impressive. He proved that he has what it takes to compete at the highest level and lead his team to success.
As the offseason begins and speculation swirls about the future, one thing is clear: Brock Purdy is the quarterback the 49ers need moving forward. With his talent, determination, and favorable contract, Purdy is poised to lead the 49ers to greatness in the years to come.
So let's not dwell on what could have been; instead, let's celebrate what was—a standout performance by a quarterback who played good enough to win.

Kyle Didn’t Know the Rules?
The buzz is out, and it's got everyone talking about the San Francisco 49ers and their overtime oopsie. Yep, word's spreading like wildfire that some of the Niners' squad were in the dark about playoff overtime rules.
Now, that's got me reminiscing back to a game back in the mid-2000s when I was suited up for the Cincinnati Bengals, going head-to-head with Andy Reid, Donovan McNabb, and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Picture This
The game's tied up at the end of the fourth quarter, and we're heading into overtime. A classic showdown, right? Well, both offenses were sputtering, defenses were locked in, and to top it off, both kickers missed game-winners.
So, there we were, Coach Marvin Lewis and Special Teams Coordinator Darren Simmons getting ready for round two of overtime, when suddenly, the refs blow the whistle and call it a tie. Hold up, what?
Here’s The Kicker
Yep, you heard that right. It was news to us too that you could actually tie in the NFL. So, we're scratching our heads, giving fist bumps to the Eagles, and heading back to the locker room in a state of disbelief.
Fast forward to later that night, and lo and behold, Donovan McNabb's on TV admitting he didn't even know a tie was possible. Talk about a facepalm moment!
But here's the kicker: fast forward to the Super Bowl, and you've got players from the Chiefs saying they've been drilling playoff overtime rules since training camp, talking about it week after week during the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Niners, well, they missed that memo.
Now, I'm not one to point fingers, but you gotta give credit where it's due. Chiefs' staff? A round of applause. Niners' staff? Well, let's just say there's room for improvement.
Let’s Take It Further
And let's break it down a bit further. You're in overtime, playoffs on the line, and the ball's in your court. Literally. Now, common sense might tell you to kick it and let your defense do the dirty work.
But hey, mistakes happen. And when you've got the Chiefs backed up on their own 30-yard line, fourth down looming, if that was your first drive, you'd punt it, right? Exactly.
So when the Niners potentially lost the game on a decision like that, you can't help but shake your head. Even Patrick Mahomes himself admitted he was surprised by the move.
Talk about a missed opportunity. And for Kyle Shanahan, wrapping up an epic season with that kind of chatter? Ouch.
But hey, before we start playing the blame game, let's remember one thing: even back in the day, when two NFL juggernauts faced off, Marvin Lewis and Andy Reid, neither team had a clue about the rules. Yep, guilty as charged, even yours truly.
So, let's cut 'em some slack, folks. It's a tough pill to swallow, but hey, we've all been there. Here's to learning from our fumbles and coming back stronger next time.
